To save the Google Doc for yourself, you have three options:

1. File / Make a Copy / Okay (on the box that pops up and asks if you want to make the copy in your Drive folder). Then go to drive.google.com, and you’ll be able to have your own online, editable copy.
2. File / Download As (to download as whatever doc format you prefer for offline use)
3. File / Print (to print out for your personal use)
